Great, but no follower
There was no follower in my kit. This is a minor inconvenience, I used a deep well socket (9mm I think), but it would have been nice to have a follower. Instead of the white follower in the picture, it was some other cylindrical tool. I'm not sure what it's used for.

Look for kits with better followers.
The follower for this kit does not fit a genuine Schlage Georgian entry door knob. Therefore you need to manually put the top springs and pins in manually when you put the locking mechanism back together again. Also, the top pins included in the kit are incorrect. If you aren't familiar with the procedure, this required good dexterity and a pair of fine forceps.Read full review

Kit makes it fairly straight forward to re-key many different locks in your home. The cylinder "pusher tool" was a little cheesy, slightly out of round with burrs on the end which were easy to remove. Other than that I have no complaints.Read full review

Everything you need to re key a Schlage lock. The pins were the correct length, the decoder worked on all the keys I tried, and the follower fit just right. The only problem I had was the removal tool. I could not get it to remove the ring without modifying it. All in all, a good value for a beginner.Read full review

Included tools need a design update.
The pins are great. The key measuring tool worked. The other tools worked OK on the deadbolt, but not for the lock cylinder in the handle. It would be a lot of work to modify the included tool to fit onto that lock cylinder, so I ended up 3D printing one instead. Also I had to use a set of picks to pop off the retaining clip because the included tool was too thick.Read full review

Re-key Schlage Lock sets
The pin set was what I had expected. However, I had to buy a plastic compartment case to stow the pins and tools. With this done the pins are now nested in small compartments and with tweezers, the pins can be plucked out and applied to the lock cylinder. I had to modify one tool that came with the package. That was to remove the circlip on the end of the cylinder. All in all the kit was a great value and shipped in a timely fashion. Recommended for the Do-it-yourself person, or ever a locksmith.Read full review
