As the title says, I have not yet tried the Epson XP8500 .
I am still using my PX730WD using a continuous ink system.
Just looking at the 8500 I can see that it is a quality item and I will use it when the 730 gives up the ghost.
All I can add is, it is a compact machine that has everything that I need to use. Colour printing, seperate trays for paper and photo paper, rear tray for card, Card slot and disc printing facility.

I contacted Epson because my printer stopped working because the message on the screen said ink tank end of service life. Epson advised me to get an engineer to look at the printer but it might be cheaper to purchase new printer.
