easy to do BUT poor part mfg
The product would be ok if manufactured correctly The spin riveting on the shaft that I had was in my opinion not very good at all . the part failed after 2 days normal operation about 4 loads of drying . only held in place by about 0.5 mm of peen over.
( I am a retired sheet metal manufacturing technical manager )
Shaft just simply fell apart from the plate had to take it to an old colleague to get it welded on so as to render it useable

possible a quality control problem or something but I think part would be better as a welded component

It didn't even last 5 minutes
I fitted this piece really quickly which Is a bonus. Trouble is that it failed on the first use. It started out ok but then started screaching really badly. Eventually the drum came completely loose. It failed on the actual bearing which is attached to the drum. Had it been welded and not press fitted it would have been fine. Problem was it wasn't and cam away from the drum. Now my machine is in bits again whilst I wait for a genuine part.Read full review...

Teardrop bearing not proper metal
I bought part and after fitting it began to squeal badly, i removed part to find out that it was not proper part, instead of brass bearing it was coloured to look like brass, but made of soft metal like an alloy, as when scratched the coating comes off, fake part.
So no good and put old part back

the right one for UK tumble driers
Woks well, probably like the other versions of this spare part kit.
However, I wrote this review just to conform that this kit is the correct one for the UK version of this indesit drier.
Also, after fitting this and switching the machine on it made a slight grinding sound which worried me. but after a couple of hours the noise stopped. I assume that is just the part running itself in.Read full review...
