Good unit, be ready to replace the batteries.

I've got an older unit which has lasted me 20+ years. With the understanding that the batteries need to be replaced every 5 or 6 years, and that they're readily available at a battery store, this is a good unit. Since this unit sat as NOS for 20 years or so without recommended battery maintenance, the batteries come flat and must be replaced immediately. If you're not up to that (read: good with a screwdriver and wiring the two new batteries in), don't buy this unit.
