A godsend for little cost
For a home splitting facility the Lumag 8 ton splitter is very good value for money. It has been a godsend for very little money. No more using a manual logsplitter maul and no constant bending over to readjust the logs. The power is excellent and 8 ton is quite good in that it copes easily with difficult to split larger logs. The shape of the splitting blabe is very good in widening the split after it has been started.
The height of the log rest is about right and the adjustable blade height means that you can speedily send the blade into the log as long as you have an average width for the wood that you are splitting. This saves time as the blade has less distance to travel before entering the log.
Incidently it is also fun to use. Even my wife likes to use it. Can't get her to use the maul though.Read full review...

Not easy to manoeuvre, could probably have done with bit larger wheels. Ok on hard ground but difficult on soft ground.
