Works well with Linux computers

The Canon Canoscan LiDE range of flatbed scanners work straight out of the box with the Linux MInt OS; no extra drivers to download and install. Many scanner manufacturers do not cater for Linux users. This type of scanner, with a lid that folds right back to allow scanning of pages from thick books, is not easy to come by new any more, apart from expensive models intended for use in universities and libraries.

My LiDE 110 is about 10 years old and has a few minor cosmetic blemishes. But it works perfectly with Xsane and Vuescan scanning software.

Pleasantly useful.

Well primarily very compatible with the various versions of Ubuntu, a joy to use and quite resilient too, thank you.
