FOR PARTS Sony TC-366 Solid State Vintage Stereo Reel to Reel Tape Recorder

One of the best models Sony manufactured.

I have restored over 60 of the TC-366, 10 of the TC-377's that I purchased on E-bay and then resold. I have found these models to be very easy to work on, ease of access to replace all four of the belts, and main problem with thiese models is the Motor Start Capacitor will break down and will leak wax and when that happens the motor will heat, loss of power and speed reliability and a possible threat to the motor itself. However there is a easy solution to replace
the capacitor with a new ceramic style that is an easy fix. Heads are great and the sound specifications are very high. A great recorder. Only one problem I have, they are very heavy and cost a bundle to ship out.......Read full review

Hello well to sum things up .The sony is one heck of a good deck easy to fix and service !! Sounds great on record and playback .All I did to mine was belts and lubed the transport and hubs .Works like new .Anyone wanting a reel deck Go for the sony tc 366 !Read full review
