Reliable and easy to use
Compact and no moving parts (ie no whirring disk like other Skyboxes) so ideal for bedroom use. Seems far more reliable than Skyboxes with disk storage. Ideal for FreeSAT use without Sky subscription and actually far more channels than FreeVIEW (terrestrial TV through an aerial). All the main free channels available and many in HD. If you want your local news programs on BBC1 and ITV1 on the first page of the program guide then you will need a "Freesat Card" for your local area. Otherwise the local BBC ones are available up at the top end of the Program Guide (850 onwards It think?). You just need any old Sky dish pointing at 28 degrees East of South, with a clear uninterupted view at about 45 degree angle looking upwards. (check where your neighbours are pointing to!). Signal is solid as a rock, unlike streaming receivers dependent on good Broadband speeds. Just make sure you don't have trees growing up in front of the dish !! :-) Read full review...
