This is a well build ball head which performs well. However, I have one monumental niggle with this head which applies to a lot of tripod heads nowadays and that is the apparent unavailability of quick release plates. The only people who seem even remotely interested in getting a universal system are the Chinese who are using Arca Swiss standardization for tripod heads in some instances. That way, everything slides in and out and only requires a defined width and contour. If every head manufacturer offered readily available quick release plates made of METAL not plastic it wouldn't be a problem but they don't. It will now cost me another £20 to get a head with an Arca Swiss quick release system. If you have more than one camera or camera body, without having additional quick release plates, the whole object of the exercise is defeated.Read full review
