Excellent, especially with stretch fabrics! Can be used upside down too with blue tack on the tips.

These weights are really heavy and initially take some time to know just how to place them. Once familiar with them, they work like a charm. Hold pattern on fabric without tearing, hold interfacing and patchwork templates and DO NOT SLIDE around! The best thing I have used them for so far is cutting huge pyjama pants on stretch fabric. Pins don't go through stretch fabric really easily but now I place the weights and use a rotary cutter......soooooooo easy!Read full review...

The principle in this design is all wrong. You use weights to avoid using pins, so why have these weights been made with sharp pins in the back?
