Works very well with Linux Mint
Note, if you are not sure what DMS-59 means, that it's a dual monitor support card. You will need a special DMS-59 to DVI, D-sub or HDMI adapter cable, which will set you back anoth 3 or 4 quid. So long as your monitor supports it, you'd obviously go for one of the digital formats, not the analogue VGA. Once you get it connected, I think you will find that the results are great. Of course, you don't have to use two monitors: it works very well with one but you have an option you might lack with a single output card. I was struggling to install Linux Mint, an Ubuntu derivative, on an old AMD machine because it didn't have much in the way of usable drivers for the built-in graphics. This cheap card works perfectly and gives me the option of two monitors: cheap, and effective beyond expectations. Go for it if you're upgrading like me. Do make sure your supplier has the profile you want: you can get it low or full height.Read full review...
