Battery Extra

Battery extra was as described. Easy to fit with good instructions. We are yet to see the benefit with only a few charges on our boat, but so far so good.

There is lots of info and support in the instructions with links and an e-mail help desk.
The unit is easy to mount and the large aluminium heat sink should dissipate any heat better than the plastic models which are available on eBay.

Sailing boat batteries take a real pounding with long periods of discharge and short periods of charging.

Hopefully this device will perform in the medium to long term in line with predictions and prolong the battery life.

If it performs in line with the build quality and instructions I will be a happy bunny. I have no reason to think it wont.

It works really well

I have three 220 ah 12v deep cycle batteries that were pretty useless. It’s taken 1 week with keeping the battery extra connected battery and many drain/charge cycles and the first battery that I have started with is almost like new (I am doing one battery at a time).

I was sceptical at first. But it does actually work which is refreshing.

Best purchase I did

I have 4 deep cycle batteries which were not holding a charge and it was looking like I was going to have to replace them 😞 At considerable cost over £600

Very useful

I have used this one several batteries over the last month, it has certainly improved the performance of nearly all the batteries that I tried. Two had dead cells, yet it still restored the remaining cells.
When used on good batteries, it has increased the voltage /storage capacity on every one.
Every time I cycled the charge/discharge, the battery resistance lowered, so it definitely does work.

Works but not an instant fix.

The battery I fitted this to was in a pretty poor state but after 5 or 6 rounds of charge then use it is beginning to hold more of a charge so I guess it's doing what it says it would do.
