Cheap alternative to Eneloops
I have had several sets of these batteries and use them in flash and other photographic equipment. While Eneloops are my primary batteries I always carry these as backups, they are very close in terms of the number of flashes I can get per set and if you are on a budget then these are perfect. Superb rechargable batteries

Better than your average rechargeable
Over the last few years, I've bought many rechargeables for use in devices (cameras, lanterns) which can lie un-operated for quite some time, and then get heavily used in a short period. This has shown up a problem with most rechargeables (including those from big "Brands") in that they not only don't tend to hold charge for when you need it, but then seem to quickly lose the ability to hold much useful charge at all for any length of time. I am happy to say that these batteries have been much better in this respect. Holds charge for much longer
Have had problems over the years with rechargeables self-discharging (probably due to them not getting frequent discharge / charge usage - as tends to be found in "standby" or seasonal use situations). The self-discharging problem has always got worse with time, until batteries will barely hold charge for a few days.
