Works better than I thought it would.

Did a comparison with direct flash and the results were much better than I expected. Nice soft light. Have tried it on 2 Nikons D7200 and D3100. On the 7200 had to push the hot shoe clip in only part way or else it fouls on the flash. This is not a problem as long as you adjust it correctly. Experiment with exposures and metering to get the an idea of settings needed. No discernable colour cast.

Obviously is not as versatile as a separate flash, but very usable and gives really good results. Have always avoided using built in flashes, due to harsh shadows and flash 'hotspots', but now I will have no hesitation in using the built in flash with this attached, when using a separate flash is not an option or is not convenient.Read full review...
