For some reason the original handle froze up. After every trip I always use soap and water and washed the entire reel. I was able to break it free using penetrating oil for about an hour. The new handle works perfectly. I read previous posts regarding this handle freezing up. Now I use oil at the base of the handle to keep it from locking up. Read full review
