Startech 2.5" to 3.5" SATA/SAS/SATA-SSD Enclosure

At first I thought great, this is exactly what I need. Sadly the side screw holes do not exactly correspond with a 3.5 SAS or SATA drive, so they're for a 3.5 drive which is not either of those things - would love to know what the screw holes actually correspond to.

I bought two boxes to install 2x SATA SSD's into a Dell Poweredge R410 Server. With the performance a SSD gives over a SAS drive it was the best fit for my requirements but something to convert a 2.5 into a 3.5 drive which will then fit into the Dell tray. At first I tried the StarTech Dual 2.5 inch SATA Hard Drive to 3.5 inch Bay Mounting Bracket which was fine but it didn't quite reach the top of the tray so decided to buy the box instead which the to outer screw holes did not match. 2 out of the 3 holes matched though.

I've attached a couple of photos which show that the holes on the side of the black StarTech box do not match with a SAS, SATA or even their own dual mounting bracket.

Love the idea of the box, but it's actually not fit for my purpose.Read full review...
