Easy set up

Very easy to set up and seems to work great. I thought it might have a bit stronger signal and I couldn't seem to find a "location helper" to help find the ideal location between my router and my laptop for optimum speed.

Not compatible with Apple Timecapsule router

I haven't been able to get this thing to work. The instructions are terrible; they say to connect with it using the password on the card, but that password is incorrect. There is another password in the instruction booklet that also doesn't work. Finally discovered a third password on the device label, which worked. But even after I was able to communicate with it, I couldn't connect it to my router because it instructs me to press the WPS button on my router. Unfortunately, my Apple router has no WPS button, and there are no instructions for connecting to a router without a WPS button. I finally gave up and bought a NETGEAR AC1200 which was more expensive, but I had it connected to my router, up and running in 10 minutes and it's been working fine since then. D-Link should provide instructions on connecting without WPS or warn customers that you can't connect the product to an Apple router.Read full review...

It’s good

It doesn’t just sync up and work I synced it and then went to website and got the password and log in and it worked. So just a few steps. Also it has to start so if it’s blinking red it’s starting up and don’t plug it in upside down it didn’t want to work for me that way. So I went for a different plug where it could hang down and it loaded and then joined my network.
It does what it says extends your network. Just be sure to that you understand it won’t help how many mbps you get. It’s as weak as the signal is so put it in a better spot to get the most mbps where you want to use the your devices.

It works great, after a little start-up hiccup.

I needed something to make it from the basement to the 2nd story upstairs. The signal up there was weak and spotty, and I didn't want to spend another $20 a month to get a hotspot on my cell contract. After research, I decided on the DAP-1520. The unit arrived with only the stickers carrying the relevant technical information, so I went on-line and found the user's manual. Both that and the manual for my hotspot gave the same directions. The first attempt at syncing the DAP to my hotspot didn't work, but after I reset the DAP to factory settings and set my hotspot to 5 instead of 2.4, everything connected like a charm. A few different locations in the upstairs found the perfect placement for the DAP, and we were good to go! I would probably not recommend it to anyone

This is the first time using an wifi extender and I'm not impressed with it at all. It only improved my wifi connection by 10 points. It is not vary strong at all. I live in a townhouse and the extender is just right up the stairs on the middle floor.

The price is good and sometimes you get what you pay for. To good to be true at the cost of the wifi extender.Read full review...

Not an eye soar when plugged into outlet
