Great little CPU

For the price of this CPU it's a great little worker. It'll play any game you throw at it as long as you've got a decent graphics card and is easy to overstock even with the standard cooler. So good I've actually bought two of them :)Read full review...

good value cpu

great for clocking with a closed loop cooler. max clock i found 4.6ghz.
good for most games and heavy use software.
taken up a sketch pen and found that the painter software i was running was running a bit ify.
since upgraded to a i7 cpu more grunt for high end usage.
in everyway the i5 out performs the i7 except when running software that needs 4 or more cores/logical processors

Its fine considering its not the 4690k

Kind note to future buyers make sure you get a close look at the chip so you can trust what you are getting. Unfortunately I didn't get the 4690k - the buyer was selling a 4690 not the K version which are two different chips. Very disappointing but the chip I do have I've water cooled on a custom loop and it performs real well very smooth even on its own without a GPU, when playing games such as diablo III.

Solid 30 fps for the integrated GPU :)

Monster Processor

I instantly overclocked this to 4.3Ghz and it has worked without issue. Only using stock cooler too. Without overclocking the CPU is okay, but you will get at least 25% more power with a safe OC, so why not do it? Beats paying a fortune for an i7 that doesn't offer any real performance increase other than hyperthreading. Read full review...

Great cheap upgrade for old gaming PC.

I've bought this to use with Emulation gaming and for £40 it was hard to beat for the price. It does an amazing job with Gamecube and alot of PS2 titles if you have 8gb ram, but not quite powerful enough for the more demanding PS2 games. I hoping to pickup an i7 model when the price is good.Read full review...

best gaming cpu

without a doubt the best gaming cpu i have ever owned. i now own the i7 4790k which is supposed to be quicker but i cant tell the difference! :) i ran mine at stock speeds which was fast enough but i hear with overclocks they can perform ever better! Props Intel on a great productRead full review...

Good CPU needs fully compatable MB

excellent chip does what it says on yhe box but check your MB can supply enough current or turboboost and over clocking will suffer..

Intel Core i5-4690K - Still a very good processsor

It might be a processor from another generation it still has excellent performance. Very stable and reliable. The Intel Core i5-4690K works with the LGA1150 form factor motherboards which are difficult to buy new.Read full review...

Great upgrade with no problems

Works perfectly as an upgrade from an older pentium G3220 CPU using Intel's cpu cooler.
