Looks Impressive On The Box, But...REALLY STUPID, CLUMSY DESIGN!! And Doesn't Julienne Well!

Several complaints:

1) It's way too large and heavy for what's required of a slicer, making it annoying to use and to store.

2) The blades that swivel up for cutting french fries and for julienning require that you lift the food item up and back with each pass. Very lame engineering. All they had to do was blunt the blades at the front to allow for easy return, but they didn't make that simple modification, so the food item gets hung up on the sharp front edge of the blades on the return pass, requiring that you lift it (with their ridiculously stupid "safety holder" that doesn't really "hold" anything). In fact, the rotating blades are absurd anyway. Separate snap-on blades would be much better.

3) The enormous bat-winged safety holder has very long metal prongs that make it impossible to slice the last portion of whatever food you're trying to slice. So...lots of wasted food (unless you want to finish it yourself by hand).

Don't be fooled by the glossy photos of this thing. It's a monstrosity. There are other, better slicers available for half the cost. Buy one of those.Read full review...
