My classic car is restored to glory!
After 6 years!!! With no antenna, today I finally fitted my second classic car's new electric antenna, replacing the long dead old Hirschmann. On this occasion it's my Audi B4 convertible, the previous was my Mercedes-Benz SEC. The package comes equipped with all necessary items. Only this time the wiring is simpler than the old units. RED for continual power, GREEN for up/down & BLACK to ground. Simple & a very nice fit. Thank you. I've done advice to prevent future failures. Frequently clean the mast, & once a month, dependent on rain, apply "porpoise jaw" simulated "whale oil" to the radio mast, make sure to cover the whole steel stem with a nice thin film. It will last forever. If you find the mast sticks again & you can't open, remove the unit, boil up some water, take a DISHWASHER TABLET, only use this, and plunge it into the boiling water and stir. Then immerse the radio mast ONLY, into the boiled water, LEAVE IT OVERNIGHT. that should clear up corrosion stickiness.Read full review...
