Great update to my 1663 Triumph motorcycle
Replaced the points on my 1963 Triumph 3TA with this EI kit. Previously I had had issues with my coil running very hot and I was running out of ideas. I had seen a little bit of play in the distributor which I know can cause problems with traditional points, so I thought I'd give this a go. Very easy to fit, just unscrew the points plate complete with the points and drop in the new EI kit. Wiring is slightly different but was straightforward to change. I checked the timing with a strobe light and it was spot on without any adjustment (as it had been before). End result is that the bike runs well and the coil barely gets warm. All good so far. Can't comment on how long it will last but with no moving parts it should hopefully give a long service.Read full review...
