Good size and price

What MUST be taken into consideration is that what might suit one person might not suit a different one because of their visual ability.
The two best points of this product is the size and price, because it is flexible, any movement will distort the image and you have to keep adjusting the angle, if the surround was more solid that would be, for me, better, but that would only increase the product cost. I do use this daily mainly to read the TV guide, but I doubt that I would be able to sit and read a book with it, but as I said, it depends on how good or poor your eyesight is. The product was not as the recipient had hoped as, the screen had grooves in it to aid magnification and that did not suit their limited vision. A very cheap option to a proper magnifying glass

Would I buy one again , ? No. As described this a flexible plastic sheet , what it doesn't say is that it is not the easiest of item's to hold onto . The magnified image is slightly distorted. However it is cheap. I suspect it will end up in the bin in the near future. The only redeeming feature was the buyer was super quick in getting it delivered.Read full review

Product is good but manufacturing quality control is exceptionally poor.

Product was in a sealed bag so it could not be inspected and was scratched so it was almost unusable. This applied to both of them and the damage was done at the time of production before encasing in the plastic bag. Not the fault of the person who sold them to me as you could not see the damage when in the sealed bag. This adds credence to the sweeping but often inaccurate, poor quality ratings of Chinese products.Read full review

Good vision

It is ok but have a couple of minor niggles. For me the magnifying is not strong enough for my cataract surgery needs so require one with more powerful vision. The magnifier itself is floppy so difficult to hold it to read properly. Could do with it being rigid but would cost more of course. It’s alright if the article you’re reading is flat on a table. Light, easy to hold, fairly fool-proof [though not to a determined fool - it has to be held right-side up!
