Great picture and sound
I've tried a cheap action camera alternative before getting this GoPro and the difference is clear. I use it mainly inside and need both clear sound and picture in low light settings. I'm really pleased with the picture quality and the sound, and it was easy to use.
Handy to be able to charge it while in use but I wish you didn't have to remove a cover to do that (I very nearly lost the cover, I wish it was attached). I also wish it came with an attachment to connect it to a tripod / gorilla pod.
All-in-all I'm really pleased with it, but have a few minor niggles.Read full review...

Great, but card issues
This is our 2nd Go-Pro and an upgrade to our Hero3 Black. Not a replacement, but an addition to our tools. It does everything you would expect, but started returning SD card errors immediately. Go-Pro support indicate that it could be a card issue. So new cards and off to use it at a wedding we found that BOTH our Go-Pros stopped writing to the discs at the same moment. Disaster!
Another call to Go-Pro support again says SD card issues, despite this never happened with our Hero3. Will new cards help? They are on order for us to try, but so far the moral is if you get a Go-Pro make sure you get a card type from the approved list. It may not solve the problem, but it should help!

Highly recommend Hero 4 Silver
There is a strong argument you should save for the Black edition however if you don't need 4K at 30fps or high slow motion at 1080p then the silver is more than enough. With the screen on the back to frame your shot and all the same features you work go wrong. I have 2 of these and use them all the time. Get yourself a 3.5mm audio USB adapter and team with your own mic and you have a great vLogging setup. I've used mine both with the Rode Video Pro and the Micro and both work well. If shooting at 1080p and only needing 30fps or less then shoot at 2.7K instead. It's great to be able to crop in or add movement to your videos with the Ken Burns effect to create cinematic movies.Read full review...

Brilliant piece of kit. Easy to use even with out instructions. Battery life not great but I just bought spares.
Computer won't recognise camera when charging with USB (although it will charge), so I'll need a micro SD converter. Again, I already knew this.
Has wifi option so I can watch videos back from my phone - brilliant!

Total waste of money. Very, very expensive for what you get. You have to buy so many accessories just to make it work. The battery runs out after a short time. The memory card cannot be easily taken out of the camera. You cannot see what you are shooting as there is no viewfinder. You need a high spec PC to watch the video.
