Am not sure that the title was appropriate. Think it could have been a bit more appropriate. She wasn't a girl! AND she wasn't "gone"!

I'd read the book and wanted to see the film. It was excellent and very "gripping". Rosamund Pike's acting was superb.

Mystery missing woman story

This is a really really good film, and that is rare for me to say that.
It is impossible to predict the twists and turns around the plot, and therefore surprises with each scene.
A couple of mild sex, and just one gruesome, scene, but not violent otherwise, and intrigue galore.
You will come to the same conclusion, I am sure.
