Torque arm bush

Bought this red mount for my golf gti dsg which is actually ment for diesel. I was worried about the vibration that the petrol version might make especially in reverse with the DSG gearbox as I heard a few people say the vibration was terrible. When I first fitted it which was very easy there was a noticable vibration but after 200 miles it's much better and the wheel hop is eliminated which was the main reason for fitting the mount. I can definitely recommend fitting the red diesel mount to a petrol if you're worried about nvh (noise, vibration, harshness).Read full review

Power flex insert bush.

Ordered the insert for my diesel vrs fitted it ok but removed it after a day as it make the whole car shake on idle and pulling away this parts is no good for diesel cars made it nasty to drive.

If you value taught handling over all else, this might be for you!

It's done exactly what I wanted of it - it's eliminated the horrid, slappy gearchanges and jerky accelerator action which afflicted my Caddy. In fact, I'm surprised the engine hadn't already launched it itself from under the bonnet... What people say about these inserts is right, though - the whole cabin vibrates like a sewing machine now! Imagine what it would be like if the complete exhaust fell off, and then some, and you'll have a good idea of it! But I like noise and vibration (within reason) so I'll see how it goes. It's supposed to soften up with time, too.

A word to the wise - grease the insert and insert it into your existing bush BEFORE you remove the centre bolt! And don't remove the dog bone, either. When the insert goes in, it pushes the centre of the existing bush over to one side and it's impossible to get the bolt to go in. Even heaving the gearbox backwards with a ratchet strap wouldn't make it align. If you put the insert in, whip the bolt out, pop the retaining plates on the bolt and then re-insert QUICKLY you'll stand a chance. Good luck!

Does what it says but could not live with the teeth shattering vibration

Pita to fit, use plenty of extra grease !! Gear change felt more positive when fitted but I could not live with the teeth shattering vibration at tick over and low rpm.

Vibrations

Not suitable for a streetcar (diesel).
Rattles and vibrates like mad.
5 stars for good quality but not suitable for my purpose.
