Keeps yours hands away from Spinning Propellers!

More than you actually need, they have it set up so you can wire it in (as in a glow plug controller) or "clip-in" with a standard glow-plug wand. The "wand" connector isn't a chassis or surface mount, but rather molded onto a cord, like a "wand" charger has on it. The cord assembly then plugs into a 1/8" phono jack which mounts to your plane.

The Glow Plug connector looks and functions very much like a "micro" spark plug boot, and has a 6" piece of wire to a small connector which ties into the phono jack assembly giving a total length of about 16". (I assume the connector is for use with a onboard glow module).

Engine Ground is provided by a #4 (3mm) ring terminal (beware of engines that insulate the glow plug ground from the crankcase like the Norvel)

This one is going on a .061 Norvel in a Balsa Builders "Squirt" (The plug is VERY close to prop in this set up)

This will be the 3rd of these in my fleet, they are a great accy for any glow powered plane.

Well made and versatile, as are most Hangar 9 products.

Hangar 9 3025 Remote Glow Plug Adapter

For those who do not want to cut their beautiful cowling to allow the conventional glow plug igniters, this is the perfect device to avoid that. Well designed and minimizes the space between the cowling and the engine head. Perfect because users can plug easily just like an audio device. Very happy with this purchase and definitely will buy more.Read full review

Life saver

It works well with my various types of rc nitro engines that a regular glow plug is hard to get to.

Good But Could Be Better

The item is well made and works as it should. Use it on an Enya 120-4c as the glow plug is on the front side of the engine. The only problem is the metal clip with the spring for attaching to the glow plug is not in the center of the boot. Tried to turn it, but it won't budge.Read full review
