Close call

This is an early review so I might be saying something different in a few months.
First thought was what would I be getting at such a low price.
It came and felt very light and that was unsettling.
It was totally discharged too which was also unsettling.
The charger has a UK plug whereas most of my others had a two pin shaver plug but I always had to use an adapter because I always used a regular wall socket so the charger is a plus point.
I charged it for a good eight hours, it's could be a drawback that it requires so long to charge but if it can be left overnight a few times a week it shouldn't be a hardship. Just need to plan ahead.
But the best part is it shaves very very well; after all that's what it about at the end of the day.
And if the heads wear out then if I get two or more years from it it'll be cheaper to buy another than replace heads on a costlier shaver like a Philishave.
The trimmer is weedy though; it is the only downside and having said it is weedy it does actually do the job.
In short I was surprised at how well it performs above my expectations.

Disappointing results

The product was nicely presented in packaging and the bright chrome-effect looks of the shaver made it seem as if it was going to be superb. Sadly it isn't. I'll start with the charging system; It can't be charged in a bathroom shaver-socket as the charger unit is 3 pin and wouldn't be safe to charge without an "earth" terminal. When charging the red light never turns amber or green it stays red, so you don't know if it has fully charged unless you leave it on and time it for 8 hours.
In use I was comparing it with the well known make that this one shall we say pays tribute to (as I'm not going to call it a copy). First thing I noticed was the 3 foil surfaces of the cutters is very crudely finished and feel scratchy on the skin. The circles are made of too thick metal and so compared to the rival make it doesn't cut as close a shave. Remember the micro screen of the 1970s that claimed to shave as close as a blade? It did shave closer than many as the foil was thin thin thin. This Pro Series 3 has foil edges that are much too thick. I used vertical horizontal then clockwise and anti clockwise strokes and I didn't get a close shave at all. I had to finish off what it couldn't do by using my old foil razor.
So as this was so cheap I won't return it but will keep it for an emergency spare. I'm about to go and buy a better one that unfortunately will cost me 3 times the price - hey ho! You get what you pay for. Sorry but I can't give it 5 stars.

Paul Anthony electric shaver review

Good shaver for the money no doubt about that. Shaves as close as my old expensive shaver did. Side trimmer good and shapes your sideburns and moustache well enough. Two slight issues :- the catch on the floating head which secures it to the main body is not really up to the job as it comes open when shaving and the red led light doesn't flash when fully charged or running low. But for the money, well worth it.Read full review...

A great shaver.

After owning many well known brands of shavers in the £20-40 price range and never really being satisfied I thought I would try this one. I'm glad I did.

The results are very good. The shaver cost less than most and delivered the same performance as more expensive models.

Highly recommended.

But it, it lasts

I bought this same electric razor 7 years ago and after many failures from other makers that wore out in a short time. This one failed after 7 years after my stupidity and pulled and pushed the charger cord in too harshly. My brand new one shaves very well as before and will be very happy with it! Tip: keep it clean with the handy brush. What I have to say is buy it I recommend it above many others as this one stays sharp because of the tungsten rotary blades. Read full review...

Quality shaver at a bargain price

When I first saw this shaver advertised I was sceptical of its quality considering the very competitive price. I paid less than £20 and was truly amazed by my purchase. It gives a splendid shave and outperforms all the other shavers I have ever bought. Easy to clean and durable. An absolute bargain and highly recommended.Read full review...

Good quality and value for the price paid

Was pleasantly surprised by this when it arrived. For the price it is very good value. One thing that they could do is make it easier to get the extended 2year warranty . I did get it but it took several emails to and fro. Read full review...

Solid Philips style shaver with beard trimmer.

For the price I was surprised how good the shaver is. It charges quickly, has a nice fit in your hand and gives a close shave

Shaver

Doesn't shave as well as my old broken one. There is no light on it to tell when it's fully charged.
