Isn't actually magnetic in any way

While it's a decent pickup tool, I could detect no magnetic field in any part, and the seller replies simply claiming 'the base' is magnetic.

I have no idea what they consider 'the base' but you'll find that it's just a regular spring steel pickup tool. You can magnetise it if you desire but I bought a second one with a big magnet on it to fit that job.Read full review...

The clamping force isn't the strongest. It can pick up little nuts and bolts but weak on tools and heavier weight items. The plastic piece at the end makes it difficult to insert in tighter spots. Not bad for the price. I think 2 gbp is sufficient cost for this particular item.Read full review...
