This is exactly the cable I was looking for! I needed to hook my Commodore 64c up to an LCD HP monitor but had mixed results with using the composite video only, bad picture quality and interference. Using an S Video to VGA converter, the S Video output of the cable delivers surprisingly good video quality (better than a TV set). I would highly recommend this high quality cable to anyone looking to connect their old machines to a good monitor. Please note, though, that this is an 8-pin socket for a C64, older units only accept a 5 pin socket. Good purchase.Read full review...

If you only care about maximum picture quality, this is an excellent cable. It only has an S-Video connector and no composite video connector so keep that in mind.
