Awesome little phone!
Love this phone! I only have little hands, so a compact phone is a must. They're usually slow, with rubbish battery but this one is brilliant! Battery lasts a day, just (not great I know, but I use it a lot!). Amplifier is plenty powerful for headphones (not weak like most handsets). Nice size, lovely high res and bright screen. Finger print recognition is fast and accurate. I love it!Read full review...

OK as a reconditioned phone but not worth its price when new
It's only good value as a cheaper reconditioned phone. I certainly would not consider this good value at its original price.
It was described as in 'Very Good Condition' and it certainly was. You'd have to look very hard to know it wasn't new. The battery does seem to last longer than my last phone (HTC One Mini) and that's without implementing the battery saving features. It is a nice compact size, almost the same as the HTC. The camera is far better on the Sony. However, given this is a Sony using Android 9 and my HTC was Android 4.4.2, I was expecting far more functionality than this. I don't have the flexibilty of personalisation that the HTC had. The selection of widgets and shortcuts is reduced, it's not as intuitive and the sound from the speaker is worse too. The advantages, however, outweigh the disadvantages so all in all, I'm happy with the purchase.Read full review...

A powerful phone in a perfect size
As an old Galaxy A5 user, it took a while to get used to Xperian's settings and systems. But the powerful processor and the fine screen in the compact format make it a pleasure to use. The disadvantage of the smaller screen size is that entering text on the keyboard can sometimes be a bit tricky, but you get used to it. With Android 9 it is a very capable phone and still worth to buy in 2020.Read full review...

Superb phone!
Love this phone-the screen is crystal clear, it gets fantastic signal, more than my previous Xperia.
Everything is fast and smooth, the camera takes great pics, and it's a perfect size.
Well done, Sony! 😀 👍Read full review...

Good compact android phone
Probably best of small Android Phones. Good battery, screen and speed. Not too keen on standard keyboard - changed for Google standard one. Less bulky than xz2 compact and better battery life.

Mini powerhouse; great phone in a sensible size
Excellently performing phone. One of the last phones to have top-spec processing power in a compact package. Perfect if you want decent performance in a manageable size.

It didn't work
I was impressed with this product from the point of view of the screen, its compact size and how fast it was, but I had to send it back because it was faulty in that I couldn't be heard when trying to make or receive a phone call.
After looking through Google to find a fix, I understand that this is a common fault on these phones.Read full review...

Sony, always good
Phone is a good phone but comes with phone 'app' disabled and to enable it its in a ridiculously obscure menu but it's there. All things considered it's a good phone.

Good, fast, small phone
I like smartphones that fit easily in a pocket - this does. My old Z5 compact had a fading battery but also became slower as Android and apps updated; the processor in the XZ1 compact is much better.
