If you fiddle around with retro consoles, VCRs, DVD players, sound systems or anything else that uses RCA cables, whether it's component, composite or just plain audio, these can be extremely handy. And a money-saver as well, because then you don't need to worry about buying female cables, you can make all your cable purchase male and simply do the switcheroo on the fly as needed. I have a bunch of those lying around and they make life easier for me, avoiding awkward journeys behind cathode ray tubes and cabinets, as I plug in cables to the back of the appliances and move the tips to an accessible place where I can simply use these to feed the aforementioned device the necessary input.
