An excellent addition.

As a long standing fan of Roberts radios for many years I had no hesitation in purchasing a Stream 93i. The product lived up to it's reviews, however it had one fault, this being its lack of portability. Having recently purchased the battery pack for the 98i, this in my opinion is problem solved. It now frees the radio from being tied to a mains connection and gives the user the freedom to transport it anywhere. The battery pack is what you would expect, Robert's quality, easy to install, simple to use, and complementary to the radio itself. Most importantly it does not reduce the quality of the sound. The acoustically tuned cabinet still provides a rich tone whether listening to music or speech. So all in all an excellent product that enhances an already excellent radio. an appalling Battery for roberts 93i more like an AFTER THOUGHT

Robert sell this BP93I Battery Pack to be compatible with the Stream 93i & Stream 94i but it also fits the Stream 83i and the Sound80 making them portable for about 11 hours ( NOT 11 hours unless your using FM and have the screen brightness off and volume about 20% ..
NOw the important thing fitting this involves taking three screws out back of your radio and then using the supply replacement screws fitting the "CARBUNCLE battery pack on . its been noted it covered the rear facing speaker and muffle the sound but i really didn't notice it on 2 hour test ..
100% agree that when its charging it causing interference to both FM stations and dab reception strength is lower
the 3 18650 lithium cells internal to this pack are very hard to replace when they reach end of life after 2 to 3 years.......
lithium cells of this type do not last very long AT ALL ..
ROBERTS please REDESIGN the successor to the Stream94i to include longer life battery technology
