Good looking and flexible in its use

This is a very handy and easy to use tool. The good: well made, flexible and adaptable, nice markings and very fine marks from the wheel cutters, great value for money. The not so good: the allen key to tighten the additional wheels is very very small, hard to use and very easily lost. No screwdriver supplied for the end wheel. It could do with a flat side on the guide to stop it rolling. All in all - I find it very useful, not top of the range but for what I paid, I am more than happy. Read full review...

Half of a good tool.

The wrench for the set screws does not have a tip on it, making it useless. The marking gauge itself is very nice, but without the allen wrench screwdriver, much of the function of the tool is not there. I have purchased other i-gauging tools before, and have been impressed. A sharp wheel seems durable and very well constructed , but the fact that rod is centered , is a little problem . I need to take a extra care avoiding a falling down on bench . A offset rod positioning should answer this matter , or machining a bevel or a chanfer in the brass , shapping a large flat face to avoid rolling ...
