Terrible dispenser

I ordered 2 of these thinking it would be a solid tape dispenser. The handle is shorter than your standard tape gun. And the tape keeps getting jammed. I tried everything, from switching brands of tap to manually pulling tape. The problem seems to be that the unit itself is too flimsy so when it comes to the point of cutting the tape off, there's not enough counter weight for the tape roll, which leads to jammed tape.
