Cleared a ditch

Due to a blocked culvert in the field next to my house the ditch is overflowing and was 4ft deep(1.3 meters). So armed with the pump and 10M of 40mm tubing I placed the pump in the ditch at 3pm yesterday. It is still running today at 5pm and the water has fallen by half the depth.
