Robust garage charger and Jump starter

In use almost continuously for a month. Accidentaly left it charging on "Start" (25 amp output) and it cut out with a themal safety switch but went back to work after a short cool down. Not in Manual but a good feature worth mentioning as the whole package is excellent.Read full review...

A great battery charger and a quality product!

This is a really good product, well made a very robust. I bought it to recharge the battery on my motorhome that had gone flat during lockdown due to Covid-19. It worked well and was very easy to set up

The product leaflet inside is well laid out and easy to read. I was able to set it up very easily ready for charge. I expect there are cheaper chargers out there, but I wanted quality over cheap!

I would definitely recommend this charger!

Almost cheaper than a garage call out fee alone ?

My car had been left for around 4 weeks in all this very cold wet weather, its 17 year old battery this time just could not cope to start, so decided to buy this great value charger / starter unit. I put it on a slow trickle for around 4 hours then I changed it to the fast setting, with the condition needle giving its changing readout to view, it was not long and the unit "Auto returned" to it's slower charge, disconnected it all for tea went back and the car started first time, Brilliant. Left using it as a starter for another day so can't comment on that, but know its there if needed.
The only improvement, which will not effect its use, could be a little longer + & - lead ends for attachment, only had 18" spare as my car battery is placed well back, and a couple of L shape hooks at the back of the unit to wind the cables around to keep them tidy, otherwise an "Excellent" piece of kit to get you going.

Does what it says on the tin

Paid 56 pounds for mine with free delivery. It's heavy and that's a good thing. I love the fact is not to high tech and simply powerful. The previous one from Aldi and a different model would to trip out at the slightest thing and had too much protection. I have A 3.2 litre Mercedes V6 and its 100-amp battery was totally dead. I connected this charger and did not wait a few minutes ...I turned the key straight away and it started the big engine. I am impressed. But do not do stupid things like as read in other reviews where a person left a battery on the starter setting for thirty minutes and it roasted the battery. Another read that battery exploded after being COOKED, IN THEMOTOR CRANKING MODE. The starting mode is for starting only NOT SUPER FAST CHARGING and it is very powerful. Never leave it and walk away. You might see a 20-amp starter charger cheaper elsewhere. But I tried one and returned it. They will trip out as they are super sensitive and need 180 seconds to reset before you can try again. That Aldi Charger was too high tech and tripped because the battery was to flat. This charger is pure power. And did the job and it's not fancy or fussy.
But I dont think its for idiots. Be careful it is super powerful. Its true this is charger will start an engine and is used in garages. IT IS MAN ENOUGH. As for one person saying there is no place to wind the cables he is right BUT here is a tip. Take a piece of thin flat wood or other material similar to a stick. Lay it across the top of the Carry Handle, Then use two cable ties to hold it there. NOW you can wind all the cables around the carry handle under the T Bar that you have just fitted. The crock clips also clamp onto this T bar. I recommend this Starter charger it produces massive amperage to crank over any engine. Worked on my Mercedes 3.2 V6

Not an empty tin box with graphics

Nice bit of kit. I have been meaning to buy a battery charger for a while and I am pleased with what I got. I cannot vouch for long term use of this product. The first thing I noticed was that the charger was very heavy for its size so be assured this box of tricks is not full of air and wimpy electrics. It charges displaying on my vehicle volt meter at 13.4 volts. When the battery reaches full charge it finishes, so no boiling batteries. It has low and high charge rates plus boost start mode for cranking. I have not tested the boost feature yet, but the weight of the unit suggests it has something to back up this capability. It has an oldskool analogue ammeter to show charging rate and a status led display to show when fully charged. The mains lead is a decent length as are the DC red and black power cables, so you can place the charger under the bonnet/ hood or on the floor.Read full review...

Boost?

If you're thinking of buying this charger on the basis of it having the boost function, I'd suggest you upgrade to something a little more pokey in the range. An 80 amp boost isn't enough to be useful in the real world. Otherwise, a superb, well-built and robust unit that could survive in a workshop environment.Read full review...

RING RCB Charger. Great buy.

Quite amazing that my two 12v leisure batteries from Motorhome which were dead and showing 2v & 9v respectively could be brought back to life again with aid of this charger. Paid for itself then.

does what it sais on the tin

Well made feels strong and profesional. Jump start facility is useful you dont have to wait for the battery to be charged to start the engine if you are in a hurry. I use the iow rate charge via a timer clock as a battery conditionerRead full review...
