Good reception and long battery life

Good reception even in a weak signal area, long battery life, easy to use, decent sound. Wouldn't call it amazing exactly (which seems to be what you have to use to give an 'excellent' rating), but its very good and fits the bill perfectly. Its not hifi for music of course, nothing this size or build is going to be, but if your main use is talk radio its just right.Read full review...

Decent analogue portable.

This Sony icf-506 of good build quality- feels solid. Good sound on FM waveband, reasonable audio quality on AM band (or medium wave). Both FM and AM reception is very good- sensitivity for signals on AM is actually excellent for an analogue portable. Battery life seems ok to say it only requires three AA size batteries.Read full review...
