Useful, as paperwhite display makes the device fully readable in bright sunlight. The interface is pretty clunky, in comparison with the tablet on which I have been reading. For example, it seems needlessly difficult to just switch off the display, and I have still to find a quick way of getting back to the home page, leaving the book I am reading on the right page. Nice Kindle, but needs instructions
The print is wonderfully clear and bright. But the Kindle is less user-friendly e.g. for turning pages, finding the Index etc, than my old model (which dates from about 2017). It is not always self-evident what I ought to do.The problem would not arise if an instruction leaflet/handbook/manual had been provided (it is a reconditioned model).
