Great piece of kit
Have purchased before these are excellent my cat is micro chipped so after set up she can enter house without other cats getting in. You can also set to keep cat in for example if you need to visit vets, also has a flashing red light that lets you know battery needs replacing, usually lasts a year or more. All in all a very good buy bit more expensive than some other brands but well worth the extra moneyRead full review...

TOTALLY AND UTTERLY BRILLIANT!!
Yes, our Sureflap Catflap is UTTERLY FANTASTIC, and was merely a replacement for our old Sureflap Catflap after 1 of our 2 cats got locked out one evening. I usually replalce the batteries every 6months-ish but it just happened to conk out in the middle of the night?! Human bedsleeptime?!ing as she couldn't get in one night after the batteries finally gave in. She only ripped and jiggered the door of the old Sureflap cos she was panicking as she couldn't get in. Good job she's built like a Sumo, eh? Yes it's utterly BRILLIANT and although I was dubious when the first one cost us about £80ish, I(my wife actually) don't mind paying that for 7 years {yes, SEVEN years}!!The new one only cost £50ish so WELL-HAPPY!! thank you very much, and our cats are saying that even moreso!! Easy to Setup and Use
I got fed up, I was spending loads of money on cat food, only for numerous neighbourhood cats to help themselves (caught on camera). I tried scaring them off with noise and spraying water on them but it didn't help.
I looked at microchip cat feeders, but those were beyond my budget. Then I saw this selective entry 'Sureflap' microchip cat flap and it has solved the problem.
It also makes Mogwai (my cat) feel more secure and relaxed knowing that no other cats can get in.
Caution: Be sure to get a genuine Sureflap one, there are many sellers that use sureflap in the title, but actually sell you a different cat flap. (Check against my pictures)
Fitting in place of an existing cat flap is pretty simple, in most cases only needing a basic screwdriver. Most people will have no problems at all. In my case, the existing hole in the door was just slightly too tight and needed adjustment. I used a small sanding wheel in my electric drill and it was fitted in moments.
To fit where there is no existing hole will require tools, but is still not a major job. Any half competent DIY'er will be able to fit it easily.
Importantly, do not ever file, drill or cut the cat flap's tunnel section to make it fit. The coil that actually detects and reads the microchip is embedded into the tunnel and if damaged will render the cat flap useless.
Lastly, as an electronics engineer, I would recommend using good quality alkaline batteries. They will give you good lifespan and stand less chance of leaking and destroying the electronics inside the Sureflap.Read full review...

Super Cat Flap
This is the second one of these, they are brilliant, the cat struggles a wee bit thinking that the corner opens it instead of just batting the middle with her head, but she gets there. Makes life a lot easier for the cat owner, as I don't lock it at all, so that cat has complete freedom. Read full review...

Great product
Easy to fit and programme. It took a couple of ‘postings’ through of the cats before they got used to how to operate it. The magnet is stronger on this than our old one so they had to change their technique and use their heads to open it rather than their front paw. Now they are in and out with no problem and next doors cat is banned!Read full review...

No more party cats
My last cat used to have the occasional party when the local moggie so could just wander through the cat flap. This time when I acquired two cats - I decided as they are chipped to buy a microchip sure flap. I fitted it to the wooden part of the back door using a drill, a jig saw, some sandpaper and a cross head screwdriver. It was pretty easy to do. I also programmed the flap with the cat's chips before I fitted the flap, it was very easy with a few treats at the end of the tunnel and both cats are using it after a few session with treats - and of course - no more parties!

Pet door freedom!
This is a brilliant concept which works for me.
It’s handy to be able to see remotely which of my 3 cats are in or out at any time.
Ideally, I would’ve gone for the ‘cat door’ version allowing individual cat in/out enablement via the app, but one of my boys is circumferencely challenged, so I was forced to go for the slightly larger version! This version only allows in/out. You can’t specify individual animals, which I guess is ok for small dogs, but not so much car-wise.
Takes 4x C batteries. They run down faster than you think! Weeks rather than months. Use quality ones (I use Duracell+ plus)
Buy a new set when you replace the old so you’ll never be caught short!

Microchip Cat flap
I had this cat flap before, batteries tend to pop out easily but otherwise fairly intuitive. You cannot remove cats once you have added them but with only one cat I doubt this will be an issue for me!
Very easy to fit to my door, fortunately this one is quite thin otherwise you need to purchase the extension tunnel. Great bit of kit without too many extra gadgets.. I don’t need timer features. Less likely to go wrong with simple too.Read full review...

Good cat flap
First time I've got a microchip flap - thought I would to stop the other cats coming in and scaring mine! Fitted into a composite door, professional fitter had no issues other than it's a bit higher than I've had in previous doors due to the panels on the door. Easy to get flap to recognise the cat's microchips in its 'learning mode' then switch to normal use and only they can go in - any animal can get out (presumably if snuck in when the door is open). One cat is using it OK (only had a few days), the other more reluctant to explore new things, is taking her time. No problems/issues so far but obviously early days. Paid a lot less on ebay than advertised price and is a genuine sureflap - top of the price I would be prepared to pay for a catflap but does what I want. (Apparently flap can recognise up to 32 different microchips).Read full review...

Excellent Product
I had been thinking of buying a microchip cat-flap for several years. Recently a neighbour's cat had been coming in and causing my cat stress as well as pinching it's food & spraying all over the place. This decided me to take the plunge & I'm very glad I did. It was very easy to fit (after a slight easing of the hole) & works perfectly. The cat, suspicious at first took to it very quickly. I was worried at first that it would malfunction & lock the cat out, but no problems so far. Very prompt delivery as well.Read full review...
