I recently bought a second hand deck that came with a very nice SME 3009 Series II, but this had a very heavy counter weight fitted, which might suit heavier cartridges, but not the one I want to use. Restoring SME connecor

All pins desoldered and cleaned
Mogami cable trimmed preped and tinned.
New cable installed.
Cover refitted.
Spacer fitted and connector refitted.
Phono lead secured inside plinth.
Finally base refitted.

As I am using my SME 3009 arm in a vintage Thorens turntable with a fairly shallow plinth, a side entry connector unit was required.
