Can’t go wrong for money
Never used a centre pin before so decided to try one. Didn’t fancy spending hundreds and not getting on with it so saw the Ngt reel and it had already received decent reviews. For the money you can’t go wrong. Giving it a spin and it keeps on going for about 20 seconds. Nothing to compare with so don’t know if that’s good or bad. Thought the colour black suited it. Looks the part when on the rod! Put some daiwa line and went Sunday morning to give it a try. Not really casting with it,just flicking it past the rod tip. Never had a problem with it! Plenty of fish, the only downside is it takes a while to wind back in but I guess that’s the same with all centre pin reels.
So if you’re looking at getting a cheaper reel I’d recommend the Ngt. 👍Read full review...

Good, lightweight reel spoilt by poor quality bearings.
The reel looks very well made. Only a little wobble as expected with a bearing reel, small gap between the spool and the back plate and weighs only 193g as advertised. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the poor quality bearings that meant it didn't rotate as freely as it needed to for trotting. However, this was simply rectified by replacing the bearings with better quality NMB bearings, size 7x14x5mm double sealed to protect the ball bearings.Read full review...

Light but problematic
Although this centrepin is very light it appears to have come at a cost in quality. It is smooth running, in fact it runs smoother than some of my J.W Young centrepins, however, the ratchet has a problem with the pin falling off, it's happened twice and as the part that falls off is small it could easily be lost on the bank, it may just be a fault in my centrepin, but be aware this might be a common problem with all these centrepins. I bought this as a cheap option that I could keep in the car for quick sessions after work and it does the job but I wouldn't buy another one. There are better options out there for around the same price and as NGT products are very hit and miss I would advise buying a different brand.Read full review...

Wonderful centrepin for trotting a light stick float!
Lightweight spool. Only takes the weight of a No.4 shot (0.2 gram) pinched on the line to rotate the spool. Ideal for slow flowing rivers! Excellent black finish. Good ratchet. I prefer this to my more expensive and less responsive centrepins.Read full review...

Great reel at a great price
This reel is a bit of a bargain , spins freely & will work just as well as my more expensive centre pin.

Annoying to untangle
No line guard enables line to go around back of reel and jam
