Wonder tape
Needed this to bend a lead water mains pipe as the plumber cannot change it for another 2 weeks yet. I wrapped it with the tape & the again along the area to be bent & this has done the job perfectly. There is just under half of the roll left and at the price I paid, this is a fantastic buy. Far from the best S.A. tape, but easily the cheapest
I bought this because it was good value. I have to admit it was a bit of a disappointment..... the tape is more plastic and less rubbery than other manufacturers' tape.
It doesn't stretch as far as better makes, so it has less contraction to allow it to grip on itself (I hope that that'll make sense if you know Self Amalmagating tape). It actually snapped a couple of times while I was applying it - which I've never experienced before.
All in all, it's cheap and not too nasty. However, I don't have any use for it. I wanted to weatherproof electrical connections (low voltage DC) and I don't trust it to last......so although it will work it's not good enough to replace real SA tape...... my advice is spend the extra couple of quid and buy a more reputable brand.Read full review...

Essential part of any tool kit
First came across this stuff a couple of years ago, and would never be without. Keep a couple of rolls in the car, more in the tool cabinet and a couple spare. Easy to use. Stretch to activate, start peeling backing off and wrap.

Once you've got the shiny covering off, stretch then seal or wrap whatever you want. I found it dries well (some I've used remain spongy or tacky) so you can wrap it around a tool. bring back the old stuff
if you have wide open access to the job its ok , you have to really stretch it to get it stick to itself.if acces is limmited , and you cant streatch it all the way arround it doesent work, it wont grip on itself.
