The Landscape of History

Gaddis’ work is a compelling mix of intellectual framing and practical insights as to how history functions at both individual and cultural levels. As the metaphor of the title alludes, this study is a lovely mix of overview and details. The book is an excellent read for informed generalists seeking more precision as to how history is crafted, and the challenges an authentic rendering of that which has past presents.
