Bought for PS4 PRO
I bought this for my ps4 because I was sick of having to unplug devices all the time. Psvr, hdd, microphone etc filled them all up. I have my psvr in the pro's rear port, my external hdd in the front left and this USB hub in the remaining port on the right. I have my Platinum headset dongle and my Blue Yeti USB cable in and they work perfectly with two ports left to use for anything else.
I tried having the external USB hard drive connected to this but the PS4 told me to connect it directly so not suitable for external drives in this way. Cant vouch for the same with a PC/ laptop as I haven't tried it.

Glitiching my devices
I brought this item as the design was nice and it was sleek. The item arrived and looked good but soon after I used it I came to the realisation that it was causing something to happen in devices such as my playstation. It doesn't work the way i wanted it too, but i found a way around that!
Everything was perfect including the super fast shipping expect. I bought for my VR head set to free up some usb slots on my computer, the sensors couldn't detect the usbs as been 3.0. which is the reason why I bought it, but I now just plug usb 2.0 into it as use the 3.0 in my pc for vr. PSVR and external HDD work a treat now
I have a PSVR, external hdd, 2 controllers, 2 move controllers and only 2 USB ports on my PS4, so I bought this as it was the only one with all USB ports being 3.0 and I’ve just plugged my PSVR, 2 move controllers and a normal controller in this port expander and my external hdd into my other port on PS4 and everything is working perfectly and it’s small neat and sits at the side of my PS4 just out of sight, absolutely perfect and feels solid.

This does what you would expect from a usb splitter. Better value than some others. I have not noticed any problems with it so far. Some devices advise you to plug into PC direct, as splitters have reduced signal clarity/power delivery, but that reduces the number of ports available and they never have enough onboard to start with.
