a show which draws you in to normality, real sittuations

comming from a council estate its what it says on the tin rough,
after watching the first series, i was blown away, as i could relate to them all

shameless is one of the best shows on tv, not like all these perfect shows with crap actors, whos under weight, perfect white teeth, who dont smoke, dont drink, dont swear, who gets out of the pool with dry hair perfect make up makes me sick....

shameless is reality, normal every day sittuations, real life, it take you into their world, of love, loyalty, struggle, you will laugh you will cry, you will love it,, it will leave you thinking, wondering, make you relize things about your self, change how we look at others,,

each charictors draws you into their lives, you will do nothing but love each one,

i love this show, cant wait for series 4 as i know it just gets better and better,, and the boundries will be pushed even futher, and the twists and turns keep you gripped....

the only down side to this show is the end of the series, the cliff hanger,, it kills me,, more more more pls,,,

COS WE KNOW HOW TO HAVE A PARRRRTTTYYYYYY......

Shameless- series1- Complete

Shameless series 1 could not be rated any less than excellent, it flows with its ups and downs, highs and lows within the Manchester estate. No home should be without the Shameless collection, even when you think your family are the worst, you put shameless on and you realise you live with saints, though the Gallagers "no how to throw a party".
I brought series 1 to complete my collection and after watching it im so glad i now have it on copy.

The Best Series of Shameless - just brilliant

Series 1 of Shameless has to be the best. The mix of characters is superb and it really lives up to its title.

This DVD is not one for younger viewers due to the content and what goes on at the Chatsworth Estate but I was crying with Laughter throughout.

David Threlfall who plays Frank Gallagher gives a legendary performance as the drunk but somewhat loveable father (okay loveable is probably going a bit far) and the rest of the cast are excellent. The younger cast members are outstanding too and the writers of this really have hit on a winner.

Kev and Veronica - the neighbours so funny what goes on - they actually make a great couple ;-)

Posh lad who makes his living from ringing cars, Marty (episode 3) the Tourettes sufferer, Shiela the manic agoraphobic - classic characters and just brilliant !

When you watch this don't try and take it seriously, I am sure this isn't totally true to life on such an estate but it makes great TV and you can watch this time and time again !

Only warning - if you are offended by the light hearted way the writer touches on so many social issues (drugs, drink, illness etc) then its not one for you

I would give this 6 out of 5 if I could

They know how to paRTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

If you know any dysfunctional family or maybe just a family with a lot of scallies, including the children you will know what this series is all about. Each of the characters are played superbly by an ensemble cast and it is the writing skills and the actors interpretation of these that hook you in from the beginning. I only got to know the Gallagher family from series 3 and although had not hear much about this series, thought it was the best on TV at that time and for ever. I was blessed to receive series 1 & 2 for my birthday last week and have just spent a holiday in France, in a caravan, (bit better than the one parked in their back yard), shite weather the lot. Lucky for me the portable DVD got packed with my undies and voila. The kids packed off to drown themselves and I laughed and cried with my favourite family (next to mine. What more can I say - roll on Ctober 2006 for series 4. I defy any one to be dissappointed. Bon appetit!Read full review...

Shameless -Series 1

Top notch British comedy drama from channel 4.

The new series are certainly no match for the originals.

HAVE THEY NO SHAME ???

After watching shameless a couple of years ago now on channel 4 I was hooked on the program and still am today. I am so sad now that shameless has finished again. Well I say finished I have seen the last episode last week. Therefore it has finished for me.

I have been trying to get hold of this DVD for months now and finally manage to find one in stock the other week. I was over the moon when I found out they had this in stock.

THE REVIEW-----------------------Shameless series 1 DVD.

OK I am going to start with the boring stuff 1st. You get this for £14.99 at Amazon.co.uk. I have been on Amazon today to buy the second one and they still have this in stock today.

There are only 2 extras on this DVD to my disappointment. I would of like to have seen more really but never mind. The 2 that are on here is the cast and a interview with Paul Abbott.

Carl and Debbie from the show interview cast members from the 1st series and ask them a few questions each. Actually this is not as boring as this sounds quite funny to watch really. Even Frank is. Frank is nothing like Frank in the show. He even talks kind of posh as well and not a pint glass or an E in sight. The interview with Paul Abbott is manly about the show and the characters that star in this show. Paul Abbott thinks he was Lip in his younger years and has model Lip on him self. Each person from the TV program has been model on someone he knows or a family member.

Now for a quick look at the characters that are in the TV program.

Frank Gallagher played by David Threlfall. Frank I think has got to be my favourite person from the TV program. Frank was married to Monic and had 6 kids. Fiona , Lip, Ian, Debbie, Carl and Liam. Frank wife Monic walked out on all of them and frank had to bring up all the kids on his own or did he ? If frank ever went missing you could find him in the Jockey. Frank has a drink problem but does this well. David plays Frank well.

Fiona Gallagher played by Anna Marie Duff. Fiona's the one that looks after everyone including Frank. Fiona has had to take on the mother role of the family since their mother walked out.

Lip (Philip) Gallagher played by Jody Latham. Lip is a bit of a gob Sh*te that is why know one calls hin Philip any more. Lip does not care about anything he says or does. Often you see Lip get head butted or punch most episodes really. Lip is still at school.

Ian Gallagher played by Gerald Kearns. Ian is the quite one of the Gallagher's. Though it's the quite ones you have to watch out for Ian is gay and does not want anyone to know. Lip soon finds this out but Lip does not say anything about Ian being gay. Later on Ian is forced to tell Fiona that he is gay but am not going to spoil that bit.

Debbie Gallagher played by Rebecca Ryan. Debbie had been sent by god apparently according to frank. You will have to check your change but she will go miles out of her way to do you a favour. Debbie has a bit of a temper but who doesn't in the Gallagher house hold. Later on Debbie had to take the role of mother when Fiona goes. I will not spoil it though and tell you what happens.

Carl Gallagher played by Luke Tittensor. Carl is the quite one and at times goby. There is not really a lot you can say about Carl. There is also little Liam Gallagher played by Jonny Bennett. Little Liam is going to be a star some day when the fi
