Matinee

During the height of the Cuban missile crisis a movie showman brings to a small Florida town his latest horror epic, Mant, about a creature half man half ant - the product of radiation. The film has the latest 1960s technology, including vibrating seats and apparently shuddering walls, and the matinee showing of this Z-grade flick triggers hysteria and panic among its young viewers. A great tribute to the monster movies of the time - and hilarious. John Goodman is ace as the showman.Read full review...
