Time saver

I was so pleased to find this older type of TRV still available for sale, I bought it for one of my Elderly customers which meant that I could change it myself, no need for heating engineer/plumber to drain down and exchange for a modern replacement, I took a bit of time to measure the old valve and fittings as to buy the correct size as there are a few different sizes, but I got there in the end, got it fitted, saved my customer money and seeing the age of the one it replaced (like for like) I feel there is longevity in the item, not something you always get today, so all in all a very good job done on the cheap without all the mess, Highly recommended.Read full review...

It's Danfos so quality as expected.

Difficult to find these nowadays but, in a battered box, on a shelf at the back of the store, Swift Spares supplied this thermostatic valve. It would have been nice to get it a bit cheaper - it was very old stock - but needs must. Hence 4 starsRead full review...

Good value alternative to a new TRV

If you have an otherwise functional old style TRV, replacing the head if its damaged saves a lot of time and hassle having to drain water from the central heating pipework to replace the entire valve. These replacement old style heads are expensive compared to buying a new TRV but are cheap compared to the hassle of fitting the entire valve. They can be fitted in just a couple of minutes. Easy fix

The old thermostat valves on two of our radiators finally broke off when the dog decided to roll against them. Simple fix- firstly make sure valve pin is operating freely on radiator, unscrew the clamp, pull off the old unit, push the new one on and tighten to radiator. Set required temperature by trial and error.Read full review...

New life for old radiator valves.

Very surprised to obtain these as original valves fitted 25 years ago. Easy to fit seem more sensitive than old valve heads. Very pleased with product would recommend.

Maintain the efficiency of radiator control valve.

The plastics strips inside the valve that control the temperature of the radiator can break or stick at times.
Buying a replacement head is much cheaper than replacing the whole valve and no need to drain down.Read full review...

Pleased to get it.

Replaced a broken valve head on an old radiator. Quite expensive, but pleased to find it is still available. It works fine.
