Not the best, not carbon steel, not hardened steel either just cheap and cheerful.
These are not the best drill bits avalible and yes they do the job kind of. Ok if you don't use them very often on anything of importance..
Used the smallest drill bit to drill pilot holes for their 1st use today an well to be honest i've never seen a drill bit bend to almost 90° without snapping and then be able to bend it straight again with only finger pressure. This tells me these are not carbon steel or even hardened steel, yes it did drill 5 holes thru partical board before bending, Yes we did laugh but at the same time was pretty amazed at just how soft these bits where. I did come home and order a proper set of bits from Dewalt as cant have this type of rubbish when doing jobs for other people even it is only for a family member.Read full review...

Not fit for use.
The very first time I used the 10mm bit it snapped. The drill bit was stuck in the soft wood fence post and the hex shank was in my drill. Not one solid piece of carbon steel. Poor quality. Don’t buy!!!Read full review...
