Doors

I have been aware of The Doors since being very young but had never 'realy' listened to the their music. Yeah I could hum along to Light My Fire and others but buying and playing this album has made me realy appreciate thier talent.
Great writting and performances. Maybe a little too Blues in places for me but totally iconic tunes.

Classic rock band, 23 songs on one CD, Ultimate Cream, Ultimate Bargain!

Cream are a one of those bands where every single musician is one of the best in the muic industry. A cocktail of Ginger Baker(Drums), Jack Bruce (Acoustic Guitar/Bass Guitar/Cello/Harmonica/Piano/Organ and Vocals!) and Eric Clapton (Guitar and Vocals) makes for an explosive combination. All of the famous material like "Crossroads" "Sunshine of Your Love" and "White Room" (My personal all time favourite)etc. are on this but I found it amazing how many of the songs I actually recognised. With top standard musicianship and classic songs I would have to say if you have nothing by the band Cream in your music collection then this an essential for any rock or serious music fan.Read full review...

Cream of the crop

The best of British. A bass player, a drummer & lead guitarist, rated each the best In the world backed by American recording companies. Like all good things it did'nt last.

There is only one Cream !

We all like to look forward but we also treasure things from our youth.
The rock group Cream introduced me to (popular) music at its very best.
I was experienced in music, especially classical. I thought that only classical was serious music. Cream, with Clapton, Bruce and Baker are the finest musicians.
As a young boy of 12, I heard my first Cream and immediately understood Rock, jazz, Rhythym and Blues with a bit of Soul as well !! What an education !
This album is really the Best of Cream.
It carries all the major singles that took UK and the USA as no other band, not even the Beatles managed !
Cream lasted only 28 months !
Each member went on to other bans and music projects with considerable success.
They were the first Supergroup that many other great groups pay homage to.
In May, 2005, these 3 old men came together and played at the Albert Hall for 4 nights and were superb !
They had aged but become wiser in they musical capability.
My 24 year old daughter, an accomplished flautist and pianist, was mesmerised by Ginger Baker on drums.
She heard this album and immediately bought it from Tesco's (dearer there than I paid on Ebay !!!!!!).
I recommend that all young and aged misical devotees should experience this album, which stands proudly on its own feet today.

Cream - The Ultimate Supergroup

This is a truly great compilation album of one of the most important bands, during one of the most important periods of music. Cream, were, the combination of three superb individual musical talents and for two years they created some of Rock's musical masterpieces, most of which are included in this album. If you haven't heard Cream before, then go out and listen to this CD.Read full review...
