great game

the world of soccer games there are really only two serious contenders for the championship title at this point: Konami's Winning Eleven games (Pro Evolution Soccer in Europe), and EA Sports' FIFA Soccer series. Like rival soccer teams eager to show off their newly acquired players at the start of a new season, these two series show up with a host of new features every 12 months in the hope that they'll finally score a convincing victory over the other. Traditionally, Konami's offerings have boasted more realistic gameplay, but have faltered in the areas concerned with presentation, specifically the lack of licensed team and player names. EA Sports' offerings, on the other hand, have generally felt a little more arcadelike than realistic, but the games have always looked extremely sharp and they let you take control of real teams comprised of real players wearing real uniforms. The line separating the two series has become increasingly blurred in recent years, and this year is no exception, as both games are still seemingly seeking to emulate the other's strengths. But to set aside the competition for a moment, FIFA Soccer 2005 is definitely the best FIFA game to date.Read full review...

great game

Almost a year to the day since the release of FIFA 06, EA Sports has released that game's inevitable sequel, FIFA 07 for the GameCube. Last year's game could only be described as the best FIFA game to date; so the question, of course, is whether or not EA Canada has improved upon that game in any meaningful way. Not all of the changes that have been implemented since last year's game have been for the better, but there are more than enough improvements here to make FIFA 07 worth a look.

Fifa 06 Review

It is a good Fifa, even better than Fifa 07 in IA. Of course Fifa 07 has better graphics, but it's not a big difference. It has a lot of extras and that's good. Talking about the disc, it has some scratches, but at least I can play. Overall-a good game with a lot of difficulty. It's the hardest Fifa I ever played.Read full review...

FIFA Soccer 06 (gamecube)

I don't know much about the game. It was a gift for my son. He plays soccer and he loves the game.He plays it with his friends and they have a great time.
This summer a lot of kids were into soccer and this is a nice way for them to play a non-violent game. Great game. I would recoment it to those that like soccer.Read full review...

Excellent fifa game. free kicks are good. no volleys, though. good extra features, like best ten goles in recent history and classic player bios.

Could be better

Haven't seen the '05 game, but the '04 game had better graphics. The main advantage of this version that I can see so far is the breadth of the league selections-- I can finally play the US team against just about anyone I like.Read full review...
